Energy solutions

Do you need an energy performance certificate, an energy audit of a building, or a calculation of correction factors? We are here for you.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATE CREATION

With our licensed experts in energy performance certification, we provide consultation, conduct inspections and measurements of buildings, and issue the energy performance certificate along with recommended measures to improve the building’s energy efficiency.

In recent years, we have become one of the leading companies in this field. In collaboration with our business partners, banks, the government, and major real estate companies, we have produced and issued thousands of energy performance certificates.

For this purpose, we have developed a web and mobile application in collaboration with experts. This application allows users to quickly collect data relevant to the creation of an energy performance certificate for an apartment, thereby optimizing and reducing the costs associated with creating the certificate.

ENERGY AUDIT

An energy audit is a detailed collection of energy data related to the operation of a building, followed by an analysis to propose appropriate measures for improving the building’s energy performance.

Approach to conducting an individual energy audit includes:

  • Energy audit of the entire company, institution, or multi-residential building (macro analysis);
  • Energy audit of individual technological processes or energy systems;
  • Energy audit of specific machines, devices, or parts of buildings (micro analysis).

The energy audit process includes:

  • Analysis of the energy status and energy management;
  • Consideration of possible energy efficiency measures;
  • Analysis of selected energy efficiency measures;
  • Energy audit report;
  • Presentation of the energy audit.

CALCULATION OF CORRECTION FACTORS

With the implementation of the new regulation or its amendment, certain changes have occurred in the calculation of heating costs for apartments with a shared heating system. According to the updated regulation, correction factors must now be calculated mathematically. Before this regulation came into effect, its predecessor allowed the determination of correction factors based on experience and estimates, typically by the heating cost distribution service provider. This approach was subjective, but the new regulation ensures objectivity in determining the factors.

By determining correction factors, heating costs among individual residential units within a shared heating system are allocated more fairly. Part of the final calculation is based on the actual consumption of each apartment or user, while another part is derived from the “characteristics” of each residential unit. In a multi-apartment building, there are usually various types of apartments, differing in square footage and volume. Additionally, apartments differ in orientation relative to the cardinal directions and the surface area of the external envelope (facade surface, window areas, roof surfaces, etc.), through which heat loss occurs. Apartments oriented to the south and west receive more heat gains (infrared solar radiation) than those facing north or east.

The ratios between the apartment surfaces, gross and net volumes, and the surface areas of external structures define the energy needs of individual apartments for heating or heat losses through the building envelope. Actual consumption and the final calculation also largely depend on the habits of the apartment users.

Differences in heat consumption for heating also vary due to different room temperatures, which users regulate according to their personal needs and living comfort preferences.
